The Zanzibar King George VI era set of stamps was printed from 1936 until about 1952. It used a design that was originally used for the lower values beginning in 1926, and for the higher values in 1913.

The differences between the lower values is the font used for Cents. It is a Serif font for the 1926 issues and a Sans Serif font for the 1936 set. See the examples below to determine the difference:

The Commonwealth Catalog shows a perforation change for the lower values up to 50c from Line Perf 14 to Comb Perf 14 x 13.5 beginning in 1946. The higher values can be differentiated by the currency. Rupees were used for the earlier sets, and Shillings for the 1936 set.
