South West Africa 1931 Set
Updated - July, 2017

Identifying the South West Africa 1931 set very simple unless you are a specialist. There is only one stamp that has a listed color shade, the 1-1/2d value. Most of the values were issued in 1931 under King George V, but the stamps were used all the way thru the reign of King George VI.

The set is shown on this site merely because it is one of my favorites. The images are an excellent design.

The catalog numbers are from the 2008 Commonwealth King George VI Postage Stamp Catalogue (CW) published by Murray Payne, 2013 Stanley Gibbons Stamp Catalogue (SG) and the 2011 Scott catalog (ST). The description is from the Commonwealth Catalogue. Please contact the publishers to obtain a copy of their publication.

The images were saved in a larger size and at a higher resolution so you can more easily see the details used in sorting them. Please be patient if it takes a few minutes for this page to load.
