The King George VI stamps from Swaziland were printed from 1938 until about 1952. This is a set that has two different perforations and a number of color shades. This is due to the large number of printings which seems unusual for a small country. I have to assume that a lot of these printings were for the stamp trade. I think this is true because for the longest time, you could purchase this set for under $10 and it was readily available. That is no longer the case now that there is collector interest. The stamps were printed by De La Rue, but unlike many of their sets - this one only has a perforation change right at the beginning. The 1938 set was perforated 13-1/4 x 13. This changed to 13-1/4 x 13-3/4 in 1942, with a single issue perforated 14 (the 1-1/2d value) in 1941.
