Burma Collection Page Scans

There are a number of sets from Burma from 1937 until 1954. During this time, influence passed from the British to the Japanese, back to the British, and finally independence was granted. Enclosed are the various sets and commemorative issues from this time period, including the Official, and some of the Japanese occupation sets.

The pages are from my collection, and are identified by the Commonwealth until they stopped listing the sets, Gibbons (which requires the use of two catalogues) and Scott numbers in that order. There are some additional stamps included. These tend to be color shades or minor flaws I noticed. Unfortunately, I left spaces for a number of flaws (which are numerous) but was unable to find many of them. So there are a few empty spaces. But you should note that all the basic stamps in each set are included. I did not find any collectable color shades, probably because most sets were in use for only a couple of years.

The page images were scanned in a larger size and at a higher resolution so you can more easily see the details used in viewing them. Feel free to select the page and let it download to your screen and save it to your hard drive for viewing. If you are using a PC, selecting the page will typically open it in Microsoft Photo Viewer (or whatever you are using as your default). From there you can enlarge the size for more close-up viewing. If you are using a phone - go find a PC or a Mac. The images are 1200 pixels wide and you will go mad trying to view them on your phone.

Please be patient if it takes a few minutes for each page to load.
