Malaya-Kedah stamps were issued beginning in 1912. The initial designs of a sheaf of wheat, a ploughman, and the council chamber building were used until it was replaced in 1937 with the image of Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah. The stamps are found on paper watermarked Multiple Crown CA and later Multiple Script CA. In addition to sorting the stamps based on the watermark, you will find there are both comb and line perforated issues, catalogued design change, and watermarks reversed, so there is a lot to look for on these stamps. The pages scanned are from my collection, and are identified by the Gibbons and Scott numbers. Commonwealth numbers are included for the later issues that were listed in the Catalog. The page images were scanned in a larger size and at a higher resolution so you can more easily see the details used in viewing them. If you are using a PC, selecting the page will typically open it in Microsoft Photo Viewer (or whatever you are using as your default). From there you can enlarge the size for more close-up viewing.
