Malaya-Pahang Collection Page Scans

Malaya-Pahang stamps were issued beginning in 1889, but my collection begins with the 1935 issues. Both 1935 and 1950 sets are based on a design showing Sultan Abu Bakar. The 1935 set includes the basic issues plus the striated paper printings. The 1950 set has some color shades based on the reprints that were created before it was replaced in 1957. For a more detailed study of these stamps and explanations to how to spot the striated paper, see the two web pages devoted to Pahang in the Index of Stamp Web Sites page.

The pages scanned are from my collection, and are identified by the Gibbons and Scott numbers. Commonwealth numbers are included for the later issues that were listed in the Catalog. The page images were scanned in a larger size and at a higher resolution so you can more easily see the details used in viewing them. Feel free to select the page and let it download to your screen and save it to your hard drive for viewing. If you are using a PC, selecting the page will typically open it in Microsoft Photo Viewer (or whatever you are using as your default). From there you can enlarge the size for more close-up viewing. If you are using a phone - go find a PC or a Mac. The images are 1200 pixels wide and you will go mad trying to view them on your phone.

Please be patient if it takes a few minutes for each page to load.
